Greetings! We are pleased to announce that we are grooming a basic network of multi-use winter trails in the Sherwins Area as of 2-16-21. You will find the start of the trails at the Sherwins Trailhead just beyond our Sherwins Winter Access/Egress sign where you can check your avalanche beacon and look over our map and safety information. The trails will be groomed several times a week as part of a pilot program with Inyo National Forest, using the same equipment that we use for the Shady Rest Winter Trails. The map below provides a basic reference. Have fun!

Hello winter trail users! Winter is here and we are working hard to prepare for the amazing winter storms to come. Our team is working to adapt our successful Trail Host program for winter. You will see our team out as Trail Hosts on the Winter Trails in Shady Rest and other trail system facilities. The NEW Community Host program effort will focus on keeping our community clean and providing residents and visitors with good information. The Community Hosts will be working in places where people seek information about public transit, shopping centers, and other services. We want to make sure that people feel welcome and safe as our community adapts to change. Please review information about the Host Programs here.
Summer is heating up and we are working hard to provide two different opportunities for people to help with keeping our special places clean and providing residents and visitors with information.
