Friends, summer is winding down, which means Trail Days are coming to an end. On Saturday, September 15th please join Co-Hosts - Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce & The Nest (collective artwork space) - for the final Trail Days event of the summer: the annual Lakes Basin Cleanup, held in conjunction with the Great Sierra River Cleanup. Meet your local Trail Crew at the Horseshoe Lake parking lot at 8:30 a.m. for a delicious free bagel breakfast provided by Old New York Deli and Bagel Co.. The day of work will be followed by a gourmet lunch brought to you by Volunteer Eastern Sierra and Bleu Handcrafted Foods, along with raffle prizes, and lots of great giveaways! Please dress for trail work. Closed-toe shoes and long pants required; walk, bike ride or carpool if you can. Visit mltpa.org or call (530) 251-6122 to speak with me, Joel Rathje, the Mammoth Lakes Trail System Trails Coordinator for details. Trail Days events are made possible by the Inyo National Forest, the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, and Mammoth’s own Measure R!
