Hello again trail friends! Just a friendly reminder… after two years of being postponed, the annual Lakes Basin Cleanup is back! Join us this Saturday, September 17 from 9 am to 1 pm, in coordination with the Great Sierra River Cleanup, for a fun day of stewardship on the Mammoth Lakes Trail System.
Hello trail friends! It’s finally time… after two years of being postponed, the annual Lakes Basin Cleanup is back!
Dear Trail Days friends and fans! Our Trail Days volunteer opportunities begin on Saturday June 4, National Trails Day! Shifts for the summer are now open. Remember to sign up one week in advance to receive work locations and duties. We will be working on new trail construction, maintenance and stewardship activities Wednesdays and Weekends all summer long. We hope you will take advantage of this safe and fun way to get involved with the Mammoth Lakes Trail System and assist with this summer’s focus on fishing line clean-up. Join a host on or around the shores of the Lakes Basin. Select the Water Host shift and let us know if you have watercraft to help!
Greetings Trail Enthusiasts - We hope you can join us for an upcoming Mammoth Trails meeting Wednesday, April 27, at 5:30pm. This is our bi-annual Mammoth Trails Meeting to share the season of work and upcoming summer programs. We are excited to have speakers from the USFS, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, Mono County, and Mammoth Lakes Trail System teams. We will be meeting in person! Join us at the Beer Cellar of Mammoth Brewing Company & the EATery. Grab a pint, relax and come talk trails. MLTS prizes to be given out throughout the evening! Special thanks to Mammoth Brewing Company for providing the venue.
Thanks to the recent storms, we are pleased to announce that the Winter Trails in Shady Rest are groomed and open for the season. Our lead groomers Andrew and Scott got started this past Thursday night and will be grooming daily or as conditions allow.
